Violence was a daily baseline. Showing a glitch in your armour was a physical risk. I learned to read a room at street level, to find the exact point where someone's logic was failing them before it became a threat. I was doing forensic diagnostic work before I had language for it.
That is the intelligence I bring into every boardroom I walk into.
